Scuba Divers’ Hub

Scuba divers are very welcome at The Bards Den.

It could be that we offer a hostel, bar & restaurant under the one roof, that a few pints with lively music provides a perfect counterbalance to the quiet peace and solitude of a day spent below the waves. Whatever the reason, somehow we’ve become the unofficial evening gathering place for scuba divers visiting the nearby Scuba Dive West dive centre at Killary Harbour.

And it’s no wonder divers of all levels and abilities choose to come west to Connemara. The dive centre fronts the pristine Atlantic waters of the Killaries, with colours and aquatic wildlife to rival the Caribbean or Seychelles. It’s also within easy reach of the offshore islands of Inishturk and Inishbofin. And for night-time entertainment, it’s hard to beat the craic and fun of an Irish pub in West Galway!
